Handyman
My client who is a residential property managing agent is looking to employ a handyman, below is the general job description of that role.
- Based in Stratford
- £30k per year
- 23 days holiday
- Monday to Friday
- 8am to 4:30pm
Duties:
- Basic plumbing repairs (e.g., fixing communal leaks so they don’t get worse, unclogging drains outside).
- Minor Electrical repairs (e.g., replacing bulbs, resetting magnetic door access).
- Painting and touch-ups for common areas.
- Basic carpentry tasks (e.g., repairing doors, adjusting closers).
- Resetting hardware (e.g, CCTV, broadband).
- Routine maintenance tasks such as assisting in the day to day running of building – including taking bins out once a week
Work Schedule:
The handy person would work regular hours on weekdays and could have availability for emergencies during evenings and weekends. – Scheduled maintenance tasks to be planned on a weekly or bi-weekly basis, with the involvement of the concierge team, ensuring that common areas are consistently well-maintained.
Responsibilities:
Promptly responding to maintenance requests from on site management. – Keeping inventory of necessary supplies and equipment. – Regular inspections to identify and address potential issues before they escalate. – Communicating with management and residents regarding maintenance schedules and updates.
