Solicitor Chartered Legal Executive
Job role: Solicitor/Chartered Legal Executive Leasehold Black Management Sector
Salary: £30-60k DOE
Location: Birmingham
Working Hours: Monday to Friday – Remote working available
The main responsibilities of the role include:
- Debt Recovery – small claims/fast-track/Multi-track.
- Breach of Lease – County Court Action/FTT Action.
- Forfeiture and Possession Proceedings.
- Lease Extensions & Variations.
- FTT Applications.
- Lease Analysis.
- Enforcement of Judgments.
- Providing advice to clients re major works consultations/ s20b notices/ lease variations/ lease structure/ notice of repairs.
- Ability to support our Pre-Litigation team with any queries.
- Attendance at Industry events/conferences for BD purposes, along with client meetings as required.
Who are we looking for:
- Minimum of 3 years of post-qualification experience in the areas of work covered above (Strictly Long Leasehold)
- A working knowledge of the Civil Procedure Rules, a familiarity with leases and enforcement of judgments.
- Proactive, self-motivated, organised and reliable, attention to detail with a strong academic background.
- Excellent but concise communication skills, both orally and in writing.
- Strong organisation and administration skills, with the ability to prioritise workloads effectively.
- A friendly and personable approach with colleagues and clients and an ability to deal with matters sensitively and explain complex issues to clients.
- Ability to work either alone or collaboratively with other team members, and to use initiative and demonstrate sound judgment.
- Strong IT and document management skills and ability to pick up new systems quickly.
- Must be familiar with the Landlord & Tenant Act 1985/1987 (Long Leasehold)
