Large Residential Estate in Battersea
£38,000 – £42,000 per annum (Potentially higher for the right, highly qualified candidate)
Monday to Friday, 8:00am – 5:00pm
Role Overview
The Electrician will be responsible for delivering a high-quality electrical service across a residential environment. The role includes planned and reactive maintenance, inspection and testing, and project-based electrical works. All tasks must be carried out safely, efficiently, and in full compliance with current electrical regulations and health & safety standards.
This position suits a qualified electrician who takes pride in their work, can operate independently, and communicates effectively with colleagues, contractors, and residents.
Key Responsibilities

Carry out scheduled and reactive electrical maintenance across residential and communal areas

Install, maintain, and repair electrical systems including lighting, power, switches, sockets, and distribution boards

Diagnose electrical faults and implement effective, compliant solutions

Complete electrical inspection, testing, and certification in line with statutory requirements, including EICRs

Ensure all work complies with current IET Wiring Regulations (BS 7671) and health & safety legislation

Undertake fire alarm (FA) and emergency lighting (EL) testing, fault finding, and system improvements

Support the design, modification, and enhancement of FA and EL systems where required

Maintain and repair associated systems including intercoms and AOVs

Assist with electrical installations for refurbishments and improvement projects

Accurately record completed works, test results, and certifications using company-provided systems

Identify and report electrical hazards or safety risks promptly

Work collaboratively with other trades and operational teams to ensure effective service delivery

Ensure safe use of tools, equipment, and PPE at all times
Skills & Experience
-
Fully qualified Electrician (NVQ Level 3 in Electrical Installation or equivalent)

Edition Wiring Regulations (BS 7671)

Inspection & Testing qualification (City & Guilds 2391 or 2394/2395 preferred)

Proven experience in electrical maintenance and installation, ideally within residential or mixed-use environments

Strong fault-finding and problem-solving skills

Ability to read and interpret electrical drawings and schematics

Good understanding of health & safety regulations
