Estate Operative

Vauxhall/Oval, South London | 7:30am – 4:00pm | Mon-Fri

We’re working with a large, high-quality residential development in South London that is continuing to grow and expand. They are now looking for a reliable, hands-on Estate Operative to join the on-site team on a Monday to Friday basis.

This is a great opportunity to join a well-run estate where standards are high, the team is established, and there is genuine long-term stability as the development continues to scale.

The Role

You will be a key part of the on-site team, ensuring the estate is kept clean, safe, and presentable at all times. This is a physical, outdoor, fast-moving role where pride in your work really matters. It would suit somebody who has been a cleaner, caretaker, groundsman, yardman and/or estate op previously.

Your day-to-day will include:

• Waste management and bin movement across the estate

• Jet washing and external cleaning of communal areas

• Maintaining podiums, walkways, bin stores, and shared spaces

• Supporting general site upkeep and basic maintenance tasks

• Helping maintain health and safety standards across the development

Working Pattern

• Monday to Friday

• 7:30am – 4:00pm

What We’re Looking For…

We want someone who is:

• Reliable, consistent, and takes ownership of their work

• Comfortable with physical, hands-on outdoor duties

• Previous/current experience within waste management, cleaning, caretaking etc.

• Proactive with a strong work ethic and positive attitude

• A team player who gets stuck in and gets the job done

Experience in estate management, cleaning, maintenance, or construction is useful but not essential. The right attitude is what matters most!!
