We are currently recruiting for a new Day Concierge to become a part of the team at a magnficient site in Wapping (E1W). The concierge is the first point of contact for all residents, visitors, and contractors. They must be professional in manner and appearance at all times and available to assist residents, visitors and contractors with any enquiries they may have in a positive, solution-oriented way.

Exceptional customer service skills with excellent attention to detail with an uncompromising outlook to maintaining the highest standards is a must. Outstanding communication skills, both written and verbal. Confident and dynamic speaker, able to communicate and interact effectively with residents and others. Enthusiastic, proactive and positive personality with ability to build trusting relationships with residents, colleagues and others.

We will require 2 years’ minimum of concierge experience at a residential establishment.

Main Responsibilities

  • Perform a ‘Full Patrol’ of the building twice a day.
  • Tidy Refuse Room & Recycle Rooms and sweep and keep floors clear of rubbish.
  • Remove litter in the garages/driveways/entrance/exits.
  • Keep Knighten Street clear of rubbish.
  • Report any issues such as faulty lights, leaks, security concerns and health and safety issues etc to Lamberts/Paul Cooper and enter in the issue log.
  • Check the Courtyard and make sure it is kept tidy.
  • General Building Contractors should be monitored, and updates sought before they leave site.
  • Ensure that Flat Contractors follow building guidelines and do not leave communal areas untidy.
  • Ensure that Residents are accountable for any communal area mess they make.
  • Regularly monitor CCTV and take action or notify the relevant parties if anything of note arises.
  • Ensure that all keys are signed out by contractors / cleaners / estate agents.
  • Ensure that all visitors sign the relevant book.
  • Book all parcels in the system and sent notifications.
  • Provide support and guidance to all residents where possible.
  • Ensure that the intruder alarm is set each night, and that the key cupboard is secured.
  • Keep the Concierge Office presentable and remove rubbish and unwanted items from front and back offices.

Concierge Additional Tasks

  • Perform and Log a Fire Alarm Test each Wednesday at approx. 2pm.
  • Perform and Log a Sprinkler System Test on an agreed day each week.
  • Perform and Log an Emergency Call from all 3 lifts on an agreed day each week.
  • During warmer months, water the courtyard pot plants and main entrance plants twice a week
  • Book and log visitor bays for residents as required. Strictly maximum three days stay in bay.
  • Check that Double J Maintenance perform their weekly tasks.
  • Ensure that no prohibited items are stored in the garages or any communal areas and report where necessary.
  • Ensure that general building rules and regulations are adhered to and provide guidance to residents where appropriate regarding leaks, pets and other general items.
  • Ensure that Flat Contractors follow building guidelines and do not leave communal areas untidy.
  • Ensure that Residents are accountable for any communal area mess they make.
  • Take a proactive approach to small building fixes that you can rectify yourself or assist with.

Hours: Monday to Friday / 07:00-17:30

Salary: £31,321 per annum or £11.44 per hour
