Maintenance Operative – North London

Mon-Fri, 9am-5:30pm | Up to £35,000

We’re recruiting a Maintenance Operative for a standout residential development in North London. This is a hands-on role within a supportive team, working across a historic and beautifully maintained estate.

The Role

You’ll ensure the development is safe, well-presented and running smoothly. Reporting to the Maintenance/Development Manager, you’ll handle day-to-day repairs, compliance checks and general upkeep.

Key Duties

• General maintenance: decorating, carpentry, minor electrical/plumbing, bulb changes, repairs

• Record weekly, monthly and cyclical compliance checks

• Pressure washing, refuse area upkeep, communal touch-ups

• Report and action defects or incidents

• Supervise contractors, review RAMs, issue permits

• Carry out fire alarm tests, emergency lighting checks, tap/shower flushing, water testing, smoke vent tests, plant room inspections

• Keep tools secure and maintained

About You

• Skilled in general maintenance (multi-trade experience ideal)

• Strong understanding of Health & Safety and risk assessments

• Able to work independently and make sound decisions

• Good communication skills + basic IT (Outlook, Word, Excel)

• Proactive, detail-focused and reliable

• Relevant qualifications/certifications are a bonus
