Senior Housekeeper/ Cleaning Supervisor

Salary: £29,000

Location: NW3, Golders Green

Job Type: Full-time, Permanent
Hours: 40 hours per week (flexible rota including weekends)

Role Overview

The Senior Housekeeper/ Cleaning Supervisor is a hands-on leadership role, combining daily cleaning responsibilities with the supervision and support of the housekeeping team. The role plays a key part in maintaining a clean, safe, and welcoming environment across the development, ensuring consistently high standards in all shared spaces and facilities.

Working closely with front-of-house and management teams, the Senior Housekeeper will help coordinate workloads, carry out inspections, manage supplies, and lead by example while delivering excellent service to residents and visitors.

Key Responsibilities

  • Carry out daily housekeeping and cleaning duties to a high standard
  • Support, guide, and work alongside housekeeping team members to maintain consistency
  • Plan and organise daily tasks, ensuring workloads are completed efficiently
  • Conduct regular inspections, identifying defects, maintenance issues, or health & safety concerns
  • Provide a professional and courteous service to residents, guests, and visitors
  • Follow all Health & Safety and COSHH procedures, including safe use and storage of equipment and chemicals
  • Monitor stock levels, complete stock checks, and ensure cleaning supplies are replenished
  • Communicate effectively with colleagues and contractors to ensure smooth daily operations
  • Promote a positive, respectful, and collaborative working environment
  • Adhere to company policies, procedures, and values

Skills & Experience Required

  • Proven experience in a hands-on housekeeping role
  • Previous experience within residential, hospitality, or high-standard/ luxury environments preferred
  • Strong knowledge of cleaning techniques, materials, and equipment
  • Good understanding of Health & Safety and COSHH regulations
  • Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills
  • Clear verbal and written communication skills
  • Confident working independently and as part of a team
