Night Manager

Salary: £40,000 – £42,000 per annum
Reports To: Development Manager
Shift Pattern: 4 on / 4 off Nights
Hours: 7:00pm – 7:00am or 8:00pm – 8:00am

Role Overview

A fantastic opportunity has become available for an experienced Night Manager to join a high-end residential development in West London.

This position would suit an individual with a strong background in luxury residential, hospitality, or hotel operations who is confident overseeing overnight services, leading teams, and ensuring residents receive an exceptional standard of service at all times.

The Night Manager will take responsibility for the smooth running of the development during out-of-hours operations, ensuring the building remains secure, well-presented, and efficiently managed throughout the night shift.

Key Responsibilities

Resident Services & Front of House

  • Deliver a professional and high-quality service to residents, guests, and visitors

  • Act as the primary on-site contact during overnight hours

  • Manage resident requests, complaints, incidents, and emergency situations in a calm and efficient manner

  • Maintain a welcoming, safe, and professional atmosphere throughout the development

  • Ensure front-of-house standards remain consistently high

Team Leadership & Operations

  • Supervise and support the overnight concierge and front-of-house team

  • Ensure clear communication and effective shift handovers between day and night teams

  • Monitor operational standards and team performance across the shift

  • Assist with rota coordination, holiday cover, and absence management where required

  • Ensure building policies, procedures, and resident regulations are upheld

Site Management & Security

  • Conduct regular patrols and inspections across the development

  • Monitor security, cleanliness, and overall presentation of communal areas overnight

  • Oversee essential building operations, including monitoring plant rooms and mechanical or electrical systems

  • Respond appropriately to emergencies and escalate concerns where necessary

  • Liaise with contractors, emergency services, and external suppliers as required

  • Carry out health and safety inspections, including fire safety checks and security procedures

  • Ensure all overnight operations comply with company health and safety standards

Administration & Reporting

  • Complete accurate handover reports, incident logs, and operational records

  • Report maintenance issues or operational concerns to the appropriate management team

  • Manage contractor access and permit procedures for out-of-hours works

  • Support training initiatives and performance management for the night team

  • Assist in maintaining compliance with standard operating procedures and site protocols

Skills & Experience Required

  • Previous experience within luxury residential, hotel, or premium hospitality environments

  • Prior supervisory or management experience within a front-of-house or operations setting

  • Strong customer service and interpersonal communication skills

  • Able to remain calm and professional under pressure

  • Highly organised with the ability to manage multiple priorities independently

  • Professional appearance and strong attention to detail

  • Confident handling operational issues and emergency situations

Desirable Qualifications & Experience

  • IOSH qualification or health and safety certification

  • Security industry knowledge or relevant qualifications

  • Experience within residential property management environments
