Overview
We are looking for an organised and proactive Assistant Property Manager to support the day-to-day management of a busy residential property portfolio in North London.
This is a fast-paced role suited to someone with a minimum of 2-3 years’ residential property management experience who is confident handling reactive maintenance issues, resident communication, contractor coordination, and general portfolio support.
The successful candidate will be highly organised, solutions-focused, and comfortable managing multiple tasks and priorities at once.
Key Responsibilities
Property & Resident Support
- Act as a first point of contact for residents and contractors
- Support with day-to-day property management queries and issues
- Coordinate access arrangements for contractors and residents
- Maintain accurate records and updates on ongoing matters
- Provide clear communication to residents regarding building issues and repairs
Maintenance Coordination
- Arrange contractor attendance for reactive maintenance issues including:
- Leaks and water ingress
- Access control or lock issues
- Lighting and communal repairs
- Entry phone faults
- General building maintenance matters
- Monitor ongoing works and ensure timely completion
- Escalate more complex matters where required
Contractor & Project Support
- Obtain and compare contractor quotations
- Coordinate contractor visits and access
- Assist with tracking ongoing projects and maintenance works
- Liaise with contractors regarding timelines and updates
Utilities & General Administration
- Assist with utility readings and supplier queries
- Support with invoice and documentation requests
- Ensure records are maintained accurately and professionally
- Assist with compliance and health & safety administration where required
Requirements
- Minimum 2-3 years’ experience within residential property management
- Strong organisational and communication skills
- Experience coordinating maintenance and contractors
- Able to work well within a busy and fast-paced environment
- Professional and confident approach with residents and clients
- Good administrative and IT skills
- Proactive with strong attention to detail
Package
- £35,000 – £40,000 salary depending on experience
- Monday – Friday, 9:00am – 5:30pm
