Building Manager (Part-Time)
Location: Central London
Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:00am – 12:00pm (20 hours per week)
Salary: £18,000 – £22,000 per annum
About the Role
We are seeking a professional, proactive, and customer-focused Building Manager to oversee the day-to-day operation of a small residential development.

The successful candidate will act as the face of the development, ensuring the building is safe, well-maintained, and operating efficiently while delivering excellent service to residents, visitors, and contractors.
Key Responsibilities
Resident & Front of House Duties
- Act as the first point of contact for residents, visitors, and contractors.
- Build positive relationships with residents and respond to enquiries in a professional and timely manner.
- Manage parcel deliveries and resident communications.
- Handle complaints, queries, and service requests efficiently.
- Maintain accurate records and site documentation.
Building Management
- Conduct daily building inspections and communal area checks.
- Monitor the condition, cleanliness, and presentation of the development.
- Identify maintenance issues and report or escalate where necessary.
- Liaise with managing agents, contractors, and service providers.
- Oversee contractor attendance and ensure works are completed to the required standard.
Health & Safety
- Carry out routine health and safety inspections.
- Ensure compliance with site policies and procedures.
- Monitor fire safety equipment and report any concerns.
- Maintain health and safety records and incident logs.
- Ensure communal areas remain safe, clean, and hazard-free.
Security & Compliance
- Monitor access to the building and challenge unauthorised visitors where appropriate.
- Report security concerns and incidents.
- Assist with key management and access control procedures.
- Ensure site policies and building regulations are adhered to.
Candidate Requirements
- Previous experience within residential property, facilities management, concierge, building management, or customer service environments.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and manage priorities effectively.
- Good understanding of health and safety practices.
- Competent IT skills, including Microsoft Office and email systems.
- Professional, approachable, and service-oriented manner.
