Salary: £26,000 per annum
Location: Canary Wharf, London
Working Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:00am – 4:00pm and every other Saturday, 8:00am – 12:00pm
About the Role
We are looking for a reliable, hardworking, and proactive Cleaner to join our team at a prestigious residential development in Canary Wharf.
You will be responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and presentation of all internal communal areas to the highest standards, ensuring residents and visitors enjoy a safe, clean, and welcoming environment. This is a hands-on role that requires excellent attention to detail, a strong work ethic, and the ability to work independently.
Key Responsibilities
- Clean and maintain all internal communal areas, including entrance lobbies, corridors, stairwells, and lift areas.
- Vacuum, sweep, and mop hard floors and carpets as required.
- Dust and wipe down all surfaces, fixtures, handrails, skirting boards, and communal furniture.
- Clean internal glass, mirrors, doors, and other touch points.
- Sanitise high-touch surfaces to maintain excellent hygiene standards.
- Ensure communal washrooms (where applicable) are cleaned, sanitised, and fully stocked.
- Empty internal litter bins and replace bin liners as required.
- Replenish cleaning supplies and report any shortages to management.
- Report maintenance issues, defects, or health and safety concerns promptly.
- Follow all health and safety procedures, including the safe use and storage of cleaning equipment and chemicals.
- Maintain a consistently high standard of cleanliness throughout the building.
Skills & Experience
- Previous cleaning experience in a residential, commercial, or hospitality environment is desirable but not essential.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to maintaining high standards.
- Reliable, punctual, and self-motivated.
- Ability to work independently and manage your workload effectively.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- A positive, professional attitude with a proactive approach to work.
- Knowledge of cleaning products, equipment, and health and safety procedures is advantageous.
