MAINTENANCE OPERATIVE

North London | £34,000 + Benefits | Monday-Friday, 8am-5pm

THE ROLE

We’re looking for a hands-on Maintenance Operative to join a brand-new residential development in North London.

This is a great opportunity for a practical, reliable maintenance or handyman professional to join the site at an exciting stage and play an important role in keeping the development running smoothly.

No two days will be the same, with a varied mix of general maintenance, repairs, site upkeep and resident support.

WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING

• General handyman duties and minor repairs
• Painting, decorating and touch-ups
• Minor plastering, drilling and repairs
• General upkeep of communal areas
• Bulk waste and site maintenance
• Routine building and maintenance checks
• Supporting contractors on site
• Recording maintenance and compliance checks
• Responding to resident requests and queries
• Identifying issues and reporting where specialist support is required

This is a broad maintenance role rather than a specialist trade position. You don’t need to be a qualified electrician or plumber. We’re looking for someone practical who can turn their hand to a range of jobs and takes pride in doing things properly.

WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR

You’ll ideally have experience in maintenance, facilities, handyman work, property, construction or a similar practical environment.

We’re looking for someone who is:

• Hands-on and confident with general repairs
• Comfortable with painting and decorating
• Practical and able to solve problems
• Proactive and happy working independently
• Professional and confident around residents
• Comfortable working alongside contractors
• IT literate and able to use digital systems
• Reliable, organised and detail-focused
• Naturally customer-service minded

Residential experience isn’t essential. We’re happy to consider candidates from a range of practical backgrounds.
