Recruitment Consultant – Temps
Recruitment Consultant – Temps
Abbatt Property Recruitment | Central London (Hybrid – one day from home after probation)
Abbatt Property Recruitment is looking for an experienced temps consultant to join a very busy desk, placing staff into residential property roles across London. We’re hiring now so that the right person is settled in ahead of our busiest period over Christmas, so an early start date would be a real advantage.
About Us
Abbatt is a well-established specialist recruiter for London’s residential property sector. We place temporary and permanent staff into roles including Estate Managers, Building Managers, Concierge and Security Officers across some of the city’s leading residential developments. Our temps desk is busy and growing, and our clients rely on us to provide reliable people, often at short notice.
The Role
This is a booking-focused temps role. You’ll be the main point of contact for property management clients who need cover, and for the temporary workers who fill those shifts. The work is fast-moving and depends on good organisation, clear communication and able to react quickly when plans change.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Taking booking requests from clients, often at short notice, and confirming shift details, rates and requirements
- Matching available temps to shifts based on their skills, location and availability
- Confirming bookings with temps, including times, locations, rates and dress code
- Managing late changes, cancellations and no-shows, and finding cover quickly
- Building strong working relationships with clients and keeping your pool of temps engaged and available
- Entering bookings accurately on our recruitment system and keeping records up to date
- Tracking timesheets and working with payroll to make sure everyone is paid correctly and on time
- Supporting the team with candidate sourcing when needed, although this isn’t the main focus of the role
What We’re Looking For
You’ll need solid experience of booking people into shifts in a high-volume environment. This could be on a temps desk in a busy recruitment agency, or in a large organisation where you’ve scheduled or rostered a big workforce across multiple sites, for example in security, facilities, cleaning, hospitality or healthcare staffing.
What We Offer
- Basic salary of £30,000-£35,000, negotiable depending on experience
- Fun and supportive office environment
- Uncapped commission on bookings, with strong earning potential, particularly during peak periods
- Clear development and progression opportunities as the business grows
- Full training on the residential property sector
- Hybrid working – one day from home per week after probation
- Monday to Friday, standard office hours with some flexibility
- Private medical insurance and an Employee Assistance Programme
- Social budget, free lunch two Fridays a month, and regular team and client events
If you have the shift booking experience we’re looking for and can start soon, we’d like to hear from you.
